IBoatNW.com emails

One problem with these forums is being able to get emails and attachments to other users without getting too much of our personal information out there. Most of us don't want our home or business email addresses posted on a public site... Soooo here's a solution...

With the IBoatNW.com domain, we have unlimited email addresses that can be assigned. We also have unlimited numbers of forwarders and auto-responders.

For example: If you email somesailor@IBoatNW.com, your email is automatically forwarded to my personal email address. I never have to check it or worry about being spam'd by an email harvester.

If you would like one of these as well, send an email to: somesailor@IBoatNW.com and include what you would like your email address to be and where you would like it forwarded to.

ie: GoAweigh@IBoatNW.com forwarded to Doug@verizon.net

Just click the profile button above and in the email slot... put your spiffy new IBoatNW.com email :)

If anyone wants to send you a message offline... they can just click your email icon and it'll forward it to your personal address. This keeps the knuckleheads and spam email harvesters from getting to your home or business accout.

It's a pretty cool feature that allows you a little anonimity, and still leaves you accessable to the folks on here.

If anyone else wants one... just send me an email at SomeSailor@IBoatNW.com and let me know what address you'd like it forwarded to. :)

I have a rather strange problem overhere. My profile will not hold my email adres! I fill in the box change someting all ok. Want to change or add something, open my profile instead of my e-mail adres there is my user name in the ee-mail box. Have to delete it fill in my e.mail adres correct other wise it will change anything be stating your e-mail adres is wrong?

OK, got it now... I thought if I changed the email in the profie, I would have to register all over again. Instead, just changed the email and typed in the highlighted password and then hit submit. Works great, last long time... OK, maybe not that far...

Nope, did not get it either. i just forwarded the error message I got this AM when I tried emailing to myself.

Yep. It's really not anymore effective than anything else, but... it does autoforward to an invisible address (your real acct somewhere), and therefore you can just change it every so often as spam catches up to you.

Remember this is a unix system so capitalization counts.

I'll set:

nortonrider@IBoatNW.com for forward to your address listed.

(ps... only capitalization problems seem to be in the ccount name. IBoatNW.com can be upper/lower)
