Ok I'm sure most of you will ignore this, but I just have to brag a bit. My favorite Admiral Debi just got done piloting the 2006 Meridian 580 from Lake Union to Kenmore and back for the yacht center's Christmas party following all the lighted boats with many, many boats to and from. Debi has really raised her boat/yacht handling skills this past year and I'm very proud of her new confidence. :D :D

OK... so when ya gonna let her drive Jaruba? :D

Congrats Ted... next thing ya know she's gonna wanna drive one full-time. I think Jaruba would look good in tow behind your new 580!

Congrats to Debbie , that's gottta be a nerve wracking experience, brand new, bigassed boat, in the dark, all that traffic...she gets a huge ATTAGIRL !! from us. Merry Xmas to you guys also. Gene and M'Liss

I would be afraid to let my Admiral pilot a big 58 footer. I think she would like it and want one. :D

I taught her to drive our boat last summer. She has a bad back and it's hard for her to put out fenders and dock lines. I thought what the heck, she can learn to dock it too. None of her dockings required gelcoat repair. It's really interesting that she learned to run the gear and throttle levers much quicker than me. I was accustomed to the single lever on the Tolly and I still myselft giving the boat throttle when I meant to shift from neutral to forward. She still has problems with the trim tab.

Lets see, SS Debi has been piloting Jaruba for a couple of years now, as well as a Bayliner 305, a Maxum 3500, and 3700, a Meridian 459, and so on, and so on. :D

Gene, cute but actually I was right beside her giving her support all the way. Thanks for the kind words I'll pass them along. :D

Randy, no biggie Debi can use anyone of these beauties any time as long as I'm aboard with her. :D

Ya well I like to "own" my yacht and not just use it

Although I don't get to own it near as much as I want to!

You and Debbie have a very Merry Christmas - May you own a big comfortable yacht one of these days - it is different than owning a 20 something boat
