The weather guru's are forcasting over 100mph on the OR/WA coast with 60-70 in the Olympia area?
Gene, Stompor, and anyone else on the South sound, I may be up after Midnight, let me know if anyone has a problem so if there is a problem we can attack the dock lines?

Noisy last night ! The power went out fro a while but is on this AM. Wind coming from WSW. Never happens here. Rain was smacking the bedroom and livingroom windows, I'll have to go out and see if Tim's (coolchange) boat is still here....

Wasn't hard to forcast that one! Seems to have calmed some. Last night just after midnight it blew through here, power was out for several hours and, it was an ugly brownout for over 3 minutes. Fortunately most of my computers and electronics are on a UPS system and I was able to shut them down properly. From the weather chart at Swantown looks like currently the wind is SSW at 13 with last nights gusts reaching only about 25.
Most of the blow hit the coast according to this report:
Statement as of 5:00 am PST on February 04, 2006

Many sites in the Willamette Valley have been gusting between 35 and
50 mph this morning. Meanwhile... locations in the Coast Range and
Cascades foothills have been gusting between 45 and 65 mph.
On the coastal waters... winds have been howling... and the seas are
building. As of 5 am this morning... winds have been gusting to near
65 mph consistently since 10 PM. In addition... seas have built to
almost 40 feet. That is some rough seas.
Numerous Highways along the coast and Coast Range have been
temporarily closed this morning due to downed trees and power lines.
Sections of Highway 58 between Dexter and Oakridge were also closed
early this morning for two hours due to downed trees and power
lines.

sitting at work today, so far the lights have blinked a couple times, shut down some of our large ovens for drying the ink and inside sprays of cans , but so far so good- it is still early though.

No doubt!!!! I'm sitting here in the comfort of my living room and I can see the waves crashing into the jetties protecting Elliot Bay Marina.... quite impressive! Well I'm off to the marina to double check dock lines. I hope everyones boats/homes survive okay and may the power be back on for the biggest game in Seahawk history! GO HAWKS!
P.S.
I'll be heading back down to Lake Union this afternoon to check on the boats.... if anyone needs me to check on their boat let me know.

The Misses, just drove by our "old house" and said it looked like a war zone (limbs all over the place) Hopefully no damage for the "new owners" the good part is I don't have to clean up the mess!!!! :P :P
Marina Webcam still shows the Tolly floating, so I will probably go up on Monday!
Hang in there everyone in the Seattle area or other unprotected areas, good days are a coming!
Brad, Good you got out of the bildge and fumes, (that methane gas can be really deadly) especially if you are so high you are starting to like it??

Remembering we live out of town..our power was out during the nite for about 4 hrs, back on by 7 AM. Houses all around us were out until noon or so. 10 miles away still out at 3 pm. Branches everywhere, friend had 2 big trees come down just missing their deck. Called a friend at the marina in Olympia and all was well, top wind gust was only 38 mph on their weather station. Gene
