As we grow and are attracting members beyond the Northwest waters, it would really be nice if all members, at the very minimum, fill out where you are from in your profile. If you are already a member and this info is not included in your profile can you please enter it for all of us to better know who we are talking to?! Thanks. Ted :D

don't worry ted...I won't be stepping on your turf.........
at least till I have a couple hundred posts under my belt here....
I wouldn't wanna make the same mistakes here.... :argh arrr
A couple dollars less than I would've gotten through you guys... but the boat only had to leave the house once :D And... this way the additional savings gets passed on to a family at least. I'll let him share the specifics with you if he wants. Wouldn't be prudent to discuss that here.
They were actually just at Olympic Bellevue trying to get a comparison on a new one. Just for curiousity to see what depreciation was. They showed me the guy's card, but I didn't recognize the name.
You might have met them... Bruce and Stephanie Hilton? Big guy.. about 6' 5"?

SS SS SS what? Ted :D
You seem to have a bug in your bonnet lately is all.
Although having everyone's profile filled out would be nice... it certainly isn't mandatory. I'm surprised you went to all that trouble is all. :)

Well let me say this about that! This site was developed, paid for and intended for folks from the great northwest waters (I'd say from Alaska to Oregon). Lately (the last month or so) I have seen a whole lot of new members I have never heard of before, they also won't even tell us where they are from, and I personally have a problem with that! Is that clear enough?
Ted

So what Ted? Are you saying you'd rather this be an invite only kindof board? Do you think maybe some of these people just enjoy reading and not posting?
Here's my spin on it:
You are welcome from whatever part of the world you're from.
You are welcome to lurk without posting or identifying yourself anymore than chosing a login and letting me log it (IP). Profiles are not mandatory. IP logging and proper conduct is.
You don't have to have a boat. Just being in here shows you're willing to waste enough time thinking of one to qualify for membership.
You should feel welcome here. Just as every one of us has felt at one time or another.
With that being said... there are some reasons a profile is nice. It lets everyone know a little more about you, your boat, your interests, family and your geographical location. It helps to answer questions if you know what resources are nearby a person sometimes, but beyond that... I don't see the big deal.
