Looking for a cabin top "rocket launcher" for rods to mount on the top of my cabin (trying to keep the inside rod free....). Ideally to hold 6+ rods but 4 is OK...
thanks...

I was looking at a recent WM flyer. WM has introduced a rail mount rod holder with their name as the brand that could be used for an application like you have. The bottom of the rail moung goen under the rail. Place the top section with the tube without the rail bracket on your hardtop and through-bolt.

Looked at the WM catlogue this AM. The rod holders are WM part number 5433628. The rod holders are manufactured by C.E. Smith and are $70/ea.

Hi Doug
They are on page 167 of the 2006 WM catalogue.

Yep, found them in the new BoatUS catalog also. Might just make my own. Piece of 7/8 ss, couple of rail connectors and just add rod holders...
Also thought of taking two 18" or 24" ss handles, mounting them side by side along the rear of my hard top and adding rod holders to them. I think that may be a better way since they would double as hand holds going up the bow... at least the Admiral may not fall overboard... again... hand rails (http://www.boatus-store.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=20002&langId=-1&catalogId=20002&productId=42755)

Tony, TCKhan had a custom rail manufactured for the top of his 2452 that he added rail mount rod holders to. Don't remember if it just goes across the hardtop or curves around the sides.
