Kudo's for Sen. Murray

Last week Sen. Murray and Rep. Doc Hastings were in Cashmere to announce that a new VA clinic will be opened next year in the Wenatchee area. Sen. Murray has been the major force in pushing the VA to open a local clinic. Currently, local veterans must travel to Walla Walla, Spokane or Seattle for medical and dental treatment. I'm certainly not a supporter of Patty Murray. Didn't, and won't vote for her but she is to be thanked for her hard work on behalf of our local veterans.

That is really good news. We just dodged a bullet in our medical benefits recently as well when they blocked an attempt (at least for a year) to raise the Tricare Prime rates. It's only a year, but they were planning on doubling the annual premium :(

The guys that use the VA for medical are generally guys who REALLY need it. I've never dealt with the VA for anything, but have heard the stories.
