Talking bout the floors in the galley. I just do not have the arms to sand my floors and get caught up with all the pressure washing duties and other projects on the Honey Do list so hired this one out. I found a ad on Craigslist and the young feller showed up and gave me a bid that was acceptable , so he should be done sometime tomorrow or Friday morning. I will take some pixs and add them to my gallery of projects.

I neglected the house last couple years due to boatin all the time so I have been pressure washing the heck out of my driveway , the rock wall, just completed the front deck and cedar furnishings- so all that is left is back patio, back deck and furnishings.
Guess I will wait till weather warms up before applying sealers.
My arms are jello but sure like my new washer.

I was just telling a gal a few weeks back to get her husband a decent pressure washer for his birthday. It's now a few weeks later and the guy is like a kid. :)

Nothing better around the house, especially around here with the mold and slime. Was giving mine a workout today too. :D

Well my floors are done, I am at work today and forgot to down load the pictures at home so I could upload them to my projects. the floor turned out ok but the guys were sloppy, ****es me off now cause I am in to the small details of getting the boat looking better. They got stain all over the lower portion of the counters through out the galley area. The finisher said it wouold wipe right off when I pointed it out to him. well the next day when i could walk on it I tried to wipe it off, no way - so I used a magic eraser and it got some but there are areas that will not come off and even using the eraser it still shows residue.
they also got some stain all over the dock and my boat neighbor pointed out that it also ended up on his tender- lucky me he was not totaly PO'd.
i have called the contractor and left a message that the mess he made was unacceptable and the stains would not just wipe off, I left the message that i wanted him to contact me for a solution. that was Friday and he has my number and my money so in hind site I wished I had held a hundred out of his pay and told him I would mail it to him if it did just wipe off. it now looks like I will have to wet sand the stains out.
this guy advertise's on craigslist and said he was picking up allot of work from this free advertisement.
ya think I should put my own ad in maybe slaming his messy work if he does not get back to me soon?

Try some brake kleen on the stain, that will sometimes work. I see ads on Craigslist expressing displeasure with services...you have every right.

brakekleen, the magical degreaser- not a bad thought. i was thinking of a paint remover or acetone- but i think I have some brake cleaner and electric motor cleaner in the garage I will try them all next days off.
Really about the last thing i wanted to do was spend a couple hours or more on this detail crap. Oh well, guess these guys will not be doing the room I had in mind at the house.

Looks great Brad. Even with the extra problems with the clean-up, it turned out very well.

Ya, the pixs do not show the little stuff- the floor itself is ok.

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten... :D Lets get the guy and beat the Glitza out of him! (glitza is the name of the good swedish finish)

Then we can formaldehyde (however you spell it) the carcass!! I just spent $450 to refinish the marble entry that I just paid $4000 to put in! ( The refinish guys came back twice after I complained that it didn't look a whole lot better then when they gave me the estimate (took them 12 hours and cost me a day at the boat) Guess I should have gone to Italy and brought back a illegal (not)
