Crabbing in area 11 (Vashon Island)

I am going out to try my first time at shrimping May 10.
This is the ONE day shrimp season in area 11.

I am thinking of launching at Pt. Defiance.

Where are the hot spots for shrimping this area? I hear the top of Vashon Island?

Anyone have any hot tips for shrimp spots?
Is there a better place to launch (I will be coming from Olympia)?

Was just talking to an old timer who said he used to shrimp and did well on North end of Vashon, over by the Mainland side by some boat ramp. I have no idea what ramp he was referring to since I do not use them, I should have asked him if it was by the ferry landing.
