Those scum suckers

Went for a Mothers day cruise, the tide was out so we tied to a bouy dropped the dingy in and went to row the boat ashore. Some lowlife scum sucker stole the oars and oar locks. Have you ever tried to row a 10' 5" dingy with a half a kayak paddle? Oh by the way they also stole a half a kayak paddle, butt heads . Now we are locking everything up and the boss was thinking about an alarm for the boat. We will be adding a padlock to the door before long and was wondering about one of those flashy light things that lets thiefs think you might have a alarm aboard. I like flashy things. Any ideas?

A flashing LED wouldn't cost more than a couple of bucks and would probably keep a would-be walking down the dock. I've always wondered when we'll hear the chirp-chirp of boat alarms as people walk away from their boats. :(
