Well, celebrated our 32nd anniversary and the Admiral decided to get a new rod and reel for me. After talking to the salesman and looking at the selection for almost 2 hours (Sportsman's Warehouse), it was suggested she bring her hubby in to pick his gift out... (Thank you Mr. salesman!!!)
Anyway, have a nice new rig for the salmon/stripers/bass,etc... Penn 965 International baitcasting reel matched to an 8.5 foot ugly stick lite with stainless steel guides (lightest 8.5 ft rod they make) which weighs the same as any Lamiglas of the same length at the store. Got it loaded with 230 yds of Maxima 15# green.
Now all I have to do is set the baitcasting for the size lure I'll use and I think I'm set!
