Heard on the news, you guys had a fatality on the track last night?

Didn't get much coverage on the news but what was that all about?

Apparently Fred Brownfield , the track promoter, was on the track lining up cars for a restart...someohow he got hit. I heard early this AM he didn't survive. I didn't actually know him, his son coached my kid's soccer team several years ago. The guy was a heck of a business man, cleaned up the track and facilities, brought order to the local club, expanded the track, was responsible for the World of Outlaws coming here. I really think we lost someone who is irreplaceable, a huge part of our community . He will be greatly missed by all of us here.

That's too bad. The news made it sound like an accident that the driver couldn't have avoided. What a shame. Hopefully what he was doing will live on in his name or something.
