I haven't listed the Numb Knots for sale yet but it looks as though we will be selling her

My wife informed me that she really isn't as excited as she thought she would be with owning 'that large" of a boat?

when I sold our home on the Airpark, my plane and purchased the Tolly I was doing it to fulfill a urge I had to get back on the water (that has not changed) But more importantly I wanted to do more together with my Bride of nearly 30 years! The kids are grown and moved out of the house and now we are expecting our first Grand child (bout time). So looks like we may be getting a Motor Coach (my preference is a Prevost Marathon Conversion)

I plan I keeping our 20ft Trophy Hardtop (so you will likely see the "numb Nut" on the water around the sound regardless)

I have a neighbor and his hobby partner coming to look at the Tolly the first week of July, however I wanted my Friends on IBNW to hear about it first, incase any are in the market for a great Tolly Craft (Moored at Swantown Marina in Olympia)

See ya on the Water,

Tim

You can get a few more years out of the Tolly if you just set the price to be over the top and/or get the showings and sea-trials to not go so well.

Sorry to hear that, hopefully we can manage to stay in touch with you.
It's a very desierable boat and won't take long to sell.
The big boat thing isn't all it's cracked up to be at times. For living on or entertainment they are great, for "boating" they suck. Funny, we just bought a motorhome this winter also.

Huh, I should have known that before spending over 300 G's

Tim, grandpa- ing is a blast. Just had my 4 grandkids out on the boat over at Dockton for the weekend. Great place for the kids to fish.
Zebco reels are great , I have 4 year olds already casting, they caught perch, flounder and a Rat fish.
never a dull moment.
Now if I can just teach them how to clean boats.

Think Oregon coast hiway...Porsche or stretch limo...has nothing to do with what you spent.

Guys,

I am not planning to go far from boating, just likely to have to ease into the "big" boat thing. The trophy will certainly make the day trips with an occasional overnight. I do still want to have a all weather trawler some day and I am sure when I get "older" I will have one!

Brad, I am looking forward to Grandkids to spoil, heck I think the Admiral already has purchased half the infant section. She has me holding everyone elses babies (she calls it training) Oh yeh, those Zebco's, I am sure I still have a couple of them in the closet!

Just drove up to Chehalis with a (new to me Aluminum 16ft enclosed trailer with one Polaris Quad, and picked up another John Deere trail buck EX 4 x 4 quad, and returned 160 miles round trip and averaged 16.9 mpg with the 're-programed Cummins diesel' I'am happy, and the diesel price has dropped in our area 25 cents a gallon.

Tim

Mike, the Mercedes "Smart car" with the 2 cylinder diesel gets nearly 70mpg??? beat the no go to get the mojo in the hugo?

Must have hit some sort of nerve with ya. It was only a joke . We big boats generally gradually move our way up because number 1 we can.
The second is we choose to make it a life style and the 3rd is we are ready to slowww down a bit. :-) Hwy is last thing in my mind while cruising up Saratoga.
Have a safe season
Brad

I actually want a bigger boat, more mass less windage! I am hoping that in a few years and some good investments to get a Nordhaven or a Salene, or have a custom steel boat built. I believe that at "my age" in fact at any age one should dream big, work hard, give more then we take and live life to the fullest! It is my goal to go through life with "NO REGRETS!!

Just got back from taking my little (new AB aluminum hulled RIb to Barview Jetty and diving for Dungees, (got limit of 12, 2 ling Cod, and 6 black rock fish with a pole spear (what a hoot)

Life is good,

Tim

Oh yeh the Dodge Cummins 1 ton got 21.6 average pulling the trailer boat highway 6 to Tillimook (I am a happy camper)

Nice catch.

Tim, nice selections of boats. Those Salene's are becoming more popular. Are those made locally? Been thinking of trawlers my self but not quite as high end as you. Probably will not make a move on it though until we get closer to retirement.

Brad,

I am still only in the Dream stage too! I will have to make a couple million more of descretionary income (what is that anyway)

The Salene is made in Taiwan by Jet Tern Marine, http://www.selenetrawlers.com/2008/index.php
They are producing what I believe to be one of the best Trawlers built today. I had a guy that had a new one next to me (sold it due to illness, I both picked it over and while diving mine, checked out the hull under water!

A full displacement hull, that has great sea handling ability (roll alot if not stablized) That is the trade off for being able to handle a large following sea as well as handle the sea faced with a quartering sea.

They make very effecient use of space and use only the finest equipment.

(you have a great yacht too my friend (enjoy it while you keep dreaming forward)

Closed the sale today July 25th and many thanks to all you guys over the last couple of years!

I plan on using my Trophy 2002 every chance I get so don't be surprised if you see "Numb Knots Too" out on the Sound, usually flying a dive flag, but might also see her pulling pots or dragging a dead herring!
