I have a fresh water cooled Volvo big block chevy. It's time for my winter haulout and annual refit. Last time I checked my exhaust risers, swapping one out and reusing one. I'd like to probably swap out the other one this time. Volvo does not seem to be supporting this motor with parts. I'm thinking about going with all new manifolds, risers etc.

Osco seems to be the aftermarket specialists. I have heard many good things about Crusader motors and many bad things about Mercruisers.

What are my options? Osco? Crusader?

I put Osco manifolds and risers on my 5.7 two winters ago. I purchased them at a marine shop near the Narrows bridge in Tacoma. Best price. They fit perfectly and I haven't had any leaks. Since I trailer my boat I'm able to flush them with fresh water after every salt water trip.

I put Osco on my VP 570 4 years ago. A couple of months ago I pulled the risers off an changes the gasket and cleaned them out.
I run in salt water and it's raw water cooled. All looked good.
Be sure to clean the mounting surfaces before reassembly.
My engine has 1014 hrs on it.
