Big Butts

Heading out to Hein Bank in the morning for some Halibut fishing. Just brined up some Black Herring and Octopus legs ! We're going to stay
at Port Townsend and fish both days. Hope the Straits are flat and
the Butts are big :P :argh

Fished Hein and Eastern. Water was flat and the sun was shining.
Fished with three boats. The OTHER two boats each got nice
40-50 pounders but my Butt broke my leader (SS) after a short fight.

On the way out we made it to Port Townsend in 40 Minutes and just over
an hour to Hein Bank ! Took it easy on the way back to conserve a bit of petrol as I'm noticing WOT does suck down the juice :shock:

Hope to hit it again soon !

you could say they are kinda big... halibut or BUTTS... up here... like your flounder or fluke but a little bigger..

Just for the halibut, I have a question:
Did you mess with the Italians? In the pix you sleep with the fish .... :shock:

LF, no, that was a picture of my former Insurance salesman... OK, only kidding... I do have many friends in NY that will/have done me favors in the past...

I'll tell anyone that wants to hear it over a beer or two... mix a Thomasville, NC sherrif, motel owner that advertises free breakfast, state police, newly weds with everything they own in a car with NY plates, a dinner of ham steak (actually two) and a dog named Hanibal...

After all was said and done, I called a friend in NY, relayed the story and she said it will be taken care of...

Three months later, we got a newspaper clipping in the mail about a motel that burned down in Thomasville, NC... and the owner was under arrest...
