Thanks again Mike for cutting the switch panel
Installed it over the weekend and it looks great! :D
So glad I don't have to look at the old POS any more!

No worries Ken. I need to build a flight box with some of that material. (Heck... I guess I need to build some planes first) :)

Mike do you have the water jet cutter?

No. I have a CNC Laser. It's essentially a CO2 laser on 80 in/sec servos. \
Water jets are currently out of my league :) ($200,000+)
The laser was expensive enough as it was.

Can it cut tempered glass? Like the kind in the front door of a wood stove?

No. CO2 lasers work in a wavelength that isn't suitable for glass. It's perfect for pretty much anything that can be made to combust (wood, plastic, acrylic, paper, textiles, fabric, etc).
Pretty much if it'll burn... it'll incandesce...
if it'll incandesce... it'll vaporize...
if it'll vaporize... I can cut it. :)

You can cut tempered glass with an inexpensive tile saw and diamond blade. Harbor Freight sells the saw for like $39 (but take the time to buy a decent blade).
Keep it wet and move slowly through the material.

I need a perfect circle and about 6 hole around it. I'll look in the phone book for a water jet place.
