hello guys,

I am trying to get the Graphics on my Tolly ASAP. It is a documented vessel and so being it is technically illegal as it has the old name on it?

The New Name: NUMB KNOTS --hailing port--Battle Ground WA

I have yet to hear back from Steve at Sign Design in Oly that offered to give me a quote. (he did say it would be expensive) as I wanted the design to be both legal and whimsical (I mean the name does mean something at least to my dad?)

For you computer graphic guys I would like to see if I could make the lettering look like a rope (gold and blue) and have a "cleat" under the center with a screwed up example of a cleat 'knot' on it

Well...

First thing would be to get an idea of the size, colors, and fonts. You're gonna need those anyhow. Here's a generic graphic we can start from:

Do you want just the "Numb Knots" portion to scroll on a rope? I'm assuming hailing port would be under the cleat and in normal lettering? A sketch of some sort would sure save a lot of misguided work. :)
