Late seeing this one.. thanks for the wishes... After I pinned Ensign rank on a graduating Coastie last week, went to NY to see dad and sis and had a big party (55 people)... Beautiful weather, went fishing and caught a nice stripe bass. Weighed in at 42 pounds... Also caught couple of blue fish and a nice fluke. Great fishing off Moriches inlet on Long Island... Fire island... Pictures to follow...

Pres Bush was there and he gave a really neat speech. Shook each ensigns hand... then pointed to where family were located and waved... Great time. Lots of protestors according to the news. They said a thousand protestors and I think they counted the veterans protesting the protestors. They were there in force, probably 7 to one ratio. It was great!!!
