Everett's still a pretty good price. (considering) :)

Sure nice to see diesel a better deal than gas. I was teasing a guy at work just today that my 7,000 Diesel Ram Truck gets better gas mileage and has more power than his BMW X5 (sweet yuppy SUV).

Now I tease him that it's even better with diesel fuel prices .50 cents behind gas... :)

Yep I topped off at POE yesterday. Figured it wasn't going to get any cheaper.

My X5 would get 23 on the freeway and I averaged about 19 around town.
But that ended a month ago, I bought a Nissan Frontier 4 wheel drive king cab with a Bug deflector , says it will get 20 mpg on the freeway, but it seems to eat allot more then the BMW.
Just could not live without a PU any longer. But damn if I can loose the habbit of searching the steering wheel to switch channels on radio or turn down volume when the phone rings.
I miss that X5 so much, what a fun car to drive.
My wife does not turn the keys over to hers much to me.

Forgot to add that last week I payed 2.59 a gal for diesel at Breakwater after volume discount, not including sales tax.

I get 23 on the road... and average 18.5 in town (commuting). I make 300HP, 500 ft/lb of torque and weigh 7,000# (and still get to buy $2.82/gal diesel) :argh

That really chaps him :)

But... it is a very nice SUV (as long as you can keep in clean)

They are sweet SUVs. I'm always teasing him though. I had him worried thje other day... I told him he must've gone through a puddle on the way to work, that he had some mud on the passenger side kick panel. He looked like he was ready to run out with his chamois (until I told him I was kidding) :)

Ask him how the heck does he keep up with the brake dust on the wheels. If his X5 is that clean he must be on them every other day .

I got rid of my 380 h.p. Ford Lightning 3 years and I've been driving a Honda CRV ever since. And I own a gas station. That tell ya anything, hehehe...?

Ya know how I solved that on mine? I switched to carbon pads. They don't fade like stock pads and the brake dust is much less. My truck chews through brake pads.
