Well here it is again another bad boating weekend. Rain wind cold weather, predicted windwaves of 1-3 ft. I can not wait for normal weather to return so I can get back out on a regular basis.

Huh, where you been then. Last weekend was great. Half Memorial weekend not bad either. I have been out every weekend but this one since May 1. I guess I look at things thru rose colored glasses????

I have been trying to get out. Last weekend my daughter had a dance recital on saturday and since she is on the competitive dance team she had to be at all four shows so the day was shot. It just seems like the weekends I have been free the weather is bad. Guess I am a little grumpy over not getting enough boat time.

Well, seems to me you have your priorities set just fine. Your daughter is certainly more important right now and I bet some day she will tell you how much it meant to see her perform... There will always be a boating weekend in the future... I see you as a very lucky man... cool, very cool!

Brad,
Sorry to hear about your weekend work coming up. Obviously, you have made your choice: Money (i.e. food and mortgage) over Boating. Well, my friend, I hope you're happy with that.

Yup, I made the choice. I had all fingers pointing at me to locate to Chatsworth Cal. for a few months and I really did not want to do it. I turned down a temporary 3 to 4 thou increase per month in pay to stay here in Wa.
There is more to it, I also help with my youngest grandgirl, to her I am papa.
If we were empty nesters again it may have been different . I would be able to fly home each week , but still to hectic at this time in my life. So an associate of mine took it and now I take his place. I will still have some boating, just less of it- but the good side of this is I will have more time off with my new schedule, it will just be on week days.

Brad,
California or Good Ol' Puget Sound?
You made the right choice, Bro.

yup, that is the way I feel about it also. I have been off work for 3 days so far this week with tomorrow being 4. I did have to take a first aid and CPR brush up class that lasted around 7 hours , but once that was over I went down to the Marina, to fine tune my shaft alignment. I tried this for the first time a month ago and made progress so I was looking for some time to get back in there and do a little more adjusting, just need to water test now.
I finished with the alignment soon enough to make it home to take my youngest grandkid to Karate class (Little Dragons) funny to watch. After wards I took her out for some greasy burgers and ice cream, just landed my butt in my Lazyboy chair. I think I earned it :-))

Always good to get your shaft aligned. I'm going to work on getting my shaft aligned this weekend. May take awhile....
