I purchased a used stove off eBay. Recessed with three propane burners, no oven, real pretty avacodo green. The Admiral really isn't keen on the color. Looks fine to me.

Our current two-burner is an above counter stainless steel model. Works great but I want a three-burner. My question--is it possible to paint the avacodo green stove top? I know there is paint available for wood-burning stoves, but I'm sure that paint wouldn't stand up to the rigors of a cooking stove. Is it possible to powdercoat a porceline finish? Suggestions?

Anyone need a good two-burner propane stove?

You can powder coat virtually anything these days. I heard they are doing plastic now... Not sure how good but... You can buy a kit and ruin your home stove or use a powder coating company... (my preference)... Powder coating is not that expensive these days and will last a long long time...

I'd follow Doug's lead. Find a powder coater (there's one in Marysville). Drop the stove off and if you're in no hurry, they'll cut you slack on the price and get it done in between their larger jobs. Sand blasting and powder coating will make it look as new.

So powder coating is heat resistant?

Yeppers. It's actually baked on. It's not the same as the ceramic coatings you'll see on some stoves (those are fired on enamels), but powder coats are applied at 350 degrees and higher. I think a stove top would be fine.
