So Ted did you make it back all the way on your bike?
Good to see you again Sunday, hopefully will see you on the log boom next year!

Yes I made it all the way home (except I walked the bike up Simmons Road) for a total, to work and home trip of 25 miles. It was way worse than I imagined it, but I did it and thats what counts at 55. I'm already planning the next trip via Burke Gillman Trail the whole way, I wish I had looked at the map before I went, didn't know it went all the way here. But at least now I can be called a "Roady"!

Hi Ted
You missed all that happened at Seafair again this year. Brian didn't return, so Monty was made captain for the NW Gap. Friday and Saturday they had problems with boats coming through the gap after lock-down.
Actually Friday is was the faut of the Coast Guard as they allowed people through until the Seattle Police stopped the rush. Saturday it was a very drunk boater.
I was in the pits on Friday when the U-9 flipped. Got to watch an upside down hydro get flipped over by the crane.
Sunday I was told I was too close to the race course by a logboom assistant chair. I didn't hear anything over the radio from my chairman or the race tower. He assumed I was too close after I retrieved a 2' long 2x4 that was drifting toward the race course before the finals.
On Sunday I was on the logboom to watch the Blue Angels. The solo high speed flight over the lake was so low there were riffels on the water behind the plane. Not close enough to create a wake or rooster tail.
Anyway, I had a fairly relaxing week at Seafair this year.

Well Roy I can tell you that I'm truely envious of you. Glad you had fun! And I'm back next year so tell the gang!
