Hi All,

We just purchased a 28' 1977 cruiser and are in the process of fixing it up.

If any of you know of any links or information we can check out for our new toy, please let us know.

Thanks,
Lonnie and Sue

Welcome! What engine do you have and when you are able, how about some pictures of the baby? You'll find a good bunch of people here willing to help you spend money and offer advice on concerns we all run into.

Hi Lonnie;

Welcome aboard. I guess the first question is what boat you have and where you boat from (we're spread all over the Northwest US and Canada here). The second suggestion would be checking out BOC (Bayliner Owners Club) when you get the chance.

Great site with SCADS of Bayliner owners that can surely help you with anything really specific to the boat above and beyond what we can offer here.

There was just some talk about a '77 Cruiser for sale locally. Is that you? I think the asking price was around $7000 and boat on Lake Union (or Elliot Bay?)

Anyhow... glad to see ya here. Let us know as you get her figured out.

There it is. It has two 470 GMC Mercury Marines in it.

Right now it's in our yard as we refinish the wood, clean it up, and reupholster the seats etc. We bought it in Spokane and will probably just be using it in the Lakes here in Idaho. Dworshak, Pend 'Oreille, etc. At least until we feel more sure of it, and see what it will do.

Definately plan to take it in salt water. That's what we originally bought it for :p

Looking forward to getting to know you,

Lonnie and Sue

Yeah... if you ever need any help or trouble finding parts locally, we're all pretty close to the Sound here. I'm up in lake Stevens and we're all up and down the bay.

Lonnie & Sue--Welcome aboard!! You have a nice boat. Perfect for the large lakes of north Idaho or Puget Sound. I really enjoy Pend O'reille; we were on the lake years ago with our previous boat, a 24' Tolly. Returning to Bayview from Sand Point. Wind came along and it got very rough. We pulled into a cove above Garfield to wait out the wind.

There is allot of expertise on this board. Don't be afraid to ask questions that may seem trivial. It is much safer to ask questions here than to find yourself calling for assistance. Also, the folks on this board can tell you about reputable vendors. We live in Wenatchee and I bought my manifolds/risers in Tacoma, had my props worked on in Mulkiteo and my canvas work done in Anacortes.
