We took our boat out on saturday and ran over to Langley. There was a note on the self register box that the Harbormaster resigned on May 12th. Was it there or Coupeville that had the big debate on whether to keep or let the harbormaster go?
We were only there for an hour. Tied up on one of the outside docks. Some *****'3s in a large Tolly kept saying as they walked back to their boat that we shouldn't have been there as we weren't long enough. We might have been able to take an inside spot had it not been for him blocking access! Besides, we weren't the ones bouncing off a very nice sailboat as we tried to get on our way! :)
Admiral decided she wouldn't want to stay overnight there. We ended up back in our slip in everett for the night.
It was Langely.
Too bad Ben finally pulled chocks. He was a pretty neat old guy. had a big sled of a boat sitting there at the ramp with pink Flamingos across the front upstairs on the party bridge.
Did you manage to catch a pizza though?

No pizza. Wife saw the hill she would have to walk and decided it wasn't worth the hike (14 days to D-date). We hung out on the dock and had a table full of food.
Was having so much fun cruising in the boat, we were almost at the mouth of the Holmes Harbor before realizing we had past Langley. :D Boat ran good apart from a throttle issue on upper helm and my trim tabs not working (found to be corroded ground wire that was never reattached after work done). Cruised at 3600 rpm, 19.8kts with 4 adults, 1 kid, 120 gal fuel and full water tank.
I was at Langley Friday for lunch but missed the sign. I did notice that the harbormaster's boat was still there.

We walked by your's and Ted's boat Sat morining on our way to the boating safety fair! Couldn't have been better weather when you guys left!
BTW Lorie won dinner for two at Anthony's in a drawing at the fair, told to buy a lottery ticket since she had the luck on her side!
There is always someone who is grumbling at the docks, you didn't break any rules and he sounded like he couldn't handle his boat very well no matter how much dock space there was.

The sign is taped to the box where you register.

You should have stopped by! I was up there at 8.30 fixing a drain and getting things ready to take off before family arrived.
My daughter was so excited to stay on the boat saturday night. Discovered that we are not cramped at all and very comfortable for the 3 1/2 of us. :) Ted had a bit more tight fit as they stayed on his boat too.
On another note...my IBNW burgee looked very nice flying on the bow! :D

Sorry I missed you, we didn't go down the finger docks and I didn't see you from the gate!
Admiral wanted to walk to the fuel docks before the fair. She wanted to be the one of 1st 50 so she could get her West Marine bag. Got there a 11 talk to West marine guy and he gave us 20 buck off coupon so it was worth it!
By the time we walked back to the boat you guys had left! Sounds like you had a good time with no problems! We spent the next couple of hour waxing :(

We will meet up one day up there! :)
I was determined to get the exterior of boat washed this weekend. Didn't get to it until yesterday morning. So out there in full rain gear right during the downpour! Wax will come soon.
