A woman meets a Navy Chief in a bar. They talk; they connect; they end up leaving together.

They go back to his place. As he shows her around his apartment, she is struck by the fact that his bedroom is completely packed with sweet, cuddly teddy bears. There are literally hundreds of teddy bears on three shelves running the length of the room along one wall.

Small, adorable teddy bears fill the bottom shelf. Cute, cuddly medium-sized ones adorn a shelf a little higher. Huge enormous bears are perched on the top shelf along the wall.

The woman is quite surprised that a Chief would have a collection of teddy bears, especially one that's so extensive. Although she decides not to question him about it, she actually is quite impressed by this unexpected evidence of his sensitive side!

She turns to him, invitingly........they kiss softly...........then again.
Soon their passion has overwhelmed them, and she leads him quietly to the huge king-size bed along the far wall.
After spending an intense night of passion with the Chief, and they are lying there together in the afterglow, the woman slowly rolls toward him and asks, smiling, "Well, how was it for you?"
The Chief, stifling a slight yawn replies: "Help yourself to any prize from the bottom shelf."
This should prove once and for all that Navy Chiefs (and above) are sensitive and caring people!

Yeah...

But a Senior Chief would've let the other girl chose something as well...

Wait... that's a different story... :D

After spending an intense night of passion with a Marine, and they are lying
there together in the afterglow, she slowly rolls toward him and asks, smiling,
"Well, how was it for you?" The Marine, ready for another round replies:
"Help yourself to any prize from the TOP shelf"
This should prove once and for all that Marines are real men .. http://www.binaryrhyme.com/ubbicons/cheers.gif

I'm not sure which is scarier... the skirts... or the leopard skin... :D

I am a big fan of the bagpipes though.

Short story...

When I was a young airman in the Navy. I was assigned to a special projects bird that got to go to all sorts of cool places in the middle of the night. As a perk, we'd get to see some of the coolest places around the world. I had one other IFT (In-Flight Technician) that I was always competing against in our shop. He was a top-notch tech and all-around great guy... and ALWAYS got the best evals.

So... to try to top this guy, I'd try as hard as I could to be the first one there when we'd launch an alert. Getting the aircraft started, the tube warmed up and the diagnostics running was an important part of starting every mission and the sooner we could get that done, the sooner we could be in the air. BUT... every time I tried... this guy would already be there ahead of me.

Finally... I decided I'm gonna go in on a rumour and just sit around to wait for the call, in the line shack. I get there at like 2:30 a.m. and this guy is nowhere to be see. I head out to the plane to get the tapes and tools I'd need aboard and I hear this really awesome, kindof eerie whailing of a bagpipe drifting across the foggy San Francisco Bay. It was enough to send chills up your spine. When I found the source of the music, I realized it was my other tech. He wasn't trying to beat me to the launch at all it turns out. He just came in every night, in the wee hours to play the bagpipe in the fog. He said the end of our runway had the most fantastic acoustics at night like that. It sounded absolutely fantastic and if you'd swear you were on the Scottish moors somewhere. Neat stuff. I even have a CD or two of bagpipe stuff here somewhere and listen to a Navy tatoo in my truck almost every day.

Speaking of pipers...
Well, we had our Navy Ball last Saturday (180+ people show up) and I used a piper (female) to follow to the receiving line and she did a few numbers as part of our program. Very unique...

LF, she played both and another tune I recognized but don't know the name. It was a patriotc tune but no idea what the name was...

and no... she was not on fire in the background... that was a light turned to dim setting... you guys are just too much... in any case, we had fun and the cadets really got a kick out of the piper... added a bit of class to the whole event. We plan to add a piper again next year... She did mention that it was just recently that females were allowed to play the pipes...????

She must of had a wee bit too much of Dewar's ..

Woman have been playing pipes forever. The Chinese invented the pipes
with no drones, then the Italians & Irish modified them adding 2 drones,
then the Scot's added another drone, and you have the modern day pipes.

A guy in the Highlanders learned to play from his wife who has been a piper
for a little over 40 years, and has been a piper with the Springfield Kilty Band
for over 20 years. We also had a woman instructor for the chanter and the
Pipes about 15 years ago, and she was a piper at Royal events along with
Ian Massey who was the Queens personal piper, and piped Diana & Charles
in at their wedding reception at Balmaral Castle. He has had the honor of
being the "only" piper to play with the Boston Pops, a well know rendition
of Amazing Grace, and also the honor being the Lone Piper one year who
is chosen to close the Edinburgh Military Tatto.

He has, as has been in the family for over 200 years, the Pipe Major for the
Black Watch. He has been, as has his brother, International Pipe Champion,
and his sister has held the title for women.
I served with him as an Officer in the "IDMA"
The International Drum Major's Association .. :)

He was also one of our instructors, and now lives in Massachusetts, having
the "Scottish Academy of Music" ..

I hope to participate one year in the Military Taptoe in Breda, Netherlands.
I have been to it, and Roel will know what I am talking about ....
