If anyone knows of someone in the market...
I have a 2003 265 Ciera (same as the new 275) only has about 125 hours on it. She's loaded. 250 hp Mercruiser w/ Bravo 3. This boat is pristine. I'm sure you are aware of the standard equip on this model. The extras are as follows...
Kenwood AM/FM/CD/MP3 with AUX jack (for your sat, dvd, I-pod, etc)
Full fresh water cooling. This boat has NEVER been in salt water.
VHF radio, Pro-Mariner 15-3 Flyback Battery charger, Cabin heater, Jabsco 6" remote controlled Spot/flood lamp(new this spring), Lewmar vertical windlass(new this spring), full cockpit enclosure/bimini top. Cockpit cover (tonneau cover).Transom shower, Magma Kettle propane BBQ. Depth Finder. There is also 1 year of extended warranty left on this boat covering nearly ALL systems including appliances. ( will have to verify transferability). The boat is on a Galvanized 2007 EZ loader trailer with electric trailer brakes

I'm glad to consign this boat for you at Olympic Yacht Center if you get tired of selling it yourself.....206-909-4519.

Sounds like a nice boat. Do yourself and your sanity a huge favor and let Ted sell your boat! I can speak from experience that nothing is more frustrating than getting calls at all hours of the day and night from people who are "Very Interested", then setting aside your time to make appointments with these folks who show up about 40% of the time, usually late, and then do nothing but pick apart your boat in order to get you to lower your price. This is always followed by the infamous...."I'll have to think about it". Especially this time of year when people are in no hurry to buy a boat as the weather is allready crap.

When I think about how much time I spent trying to save from having to pay a comission I probably could have paid 50% comission and still come out ahead

Just my two, bitter, cents worth

How much are you asking for it?

I sold mine in short order myself, and didn't have a terribly negative experience. Sold it to the third person that saw it and after the first sea-trial. I sold the boat for $5 less than I paid for it and got 6 years of use of it. I got the majority of my inquiries when I put the boat on Craigs List. Got absolutely nothing from here, BOC, Boat Trader or the local papers.

I think an individual can sell a boat and be successful, if the price is right and the boat is detailed properly and in good mechanical trim.

I had a lot of interest on the last boat we sold from Craigs list. Funny thing, we put ads in wheel deals, boat trader, the newspaper and craigs list. Ended up selling it to some people that saw the "for sale" sign on it while we were loading it on the trailer one day.
I would like to get $48k for the 265, but I know it's a bad time to be trying to sell. We are not in a big hurry to sell, in fact i don't really want to. We are getting ready to buy a new home surrounded by 1 whole acre of dirt and an unfinished basement... (mile long list of honey-dos). It's hard to make those payents when it's not getting used. So we are going to have to "turn in the keys" for a couple years.
