The admiral and I are planning a trip to Blake IS and or Bell (if I can get in). Blake would be fine except Santa did not order the Honda EU2000 I asked for. So will have to wait and see if Bell works out.
Or, I could go cold at Blake... Great vantage point to watch the fireworks however...

Working Monday till 1500, then home for the night. We aren't party goers and Del-Sea is tucked away for winter, so we'll stay home and play with the dogs and bug the cat.

Love to Meet you Doug but canvas is next for us. Call my cell if you get to Bell Harbor on Mon. I'll be there (downtown) until 1200.
They tested the new O/D today and she's going to canvas on Wed.
Getting closer.
The Fishtale 2 is up in Everett and we are hanging out with dock parties every night. Went fishing today but it was blowing 30 plus. I thought we wrapped two downrigger lines in the props. Luckily, they only wrapped around themselves and not the props. Nice stainless wire knot in 4 foot ice cold wind waves. Needless to say......that ended out fishing adventure for the day. Now we are tucked in back at the dock. Kathy still is asking me why we were fishing in that. I alway respond......it settles my nerves.
Happy New Year,
Nelson and Kathy

We might go from Tacoma (Hylebos) to Tacoma (Dock Street) depending on the weather. Everytime I check, there is a small craft advisory for the day. The Friendship II doesn't do well (and neither do I) in the big waves. She's too slow to get up on a plane--like a brick in the water. If the weather looks fine for Monday and Tuesday, we'll go to Dock Street.
Happy New Year.

I think I'll call the Discovery Channel and tell them about a fisherman and his Admiral fishing for salmon in Puget Sound with 30 knot winds, 4 foot waves and ice cold water. Heck, who says Alaska King crabbing is dangerous!! ;-) Next thing we'll hear from Spud is how his Admiral had to pound ice buildup on the flying bridge.

I think I'll go to my club (EYC) that is decorated like we are in Hawaii and dance my *** off to an awesome DJ, celebrating that I sold a Bay 3288 and a Max 4600 in a down economy and the slowest month of the year December while everyone else sold nada! Not that I'm bragging or anything.....not!

Congrats Ted.
My daughter is a real estate agent, and for the first time she's seeing folks drop back into the "real job" market. The downturn in the economy is starting to show for sure.
Home sales are a pretty good indicator, and it sounds like boat sales are down as well.
But, someone is always selling something. As long as you're getting a part of it, life is good.

Came back in today from Poulsbo, spent 3 nights. Sure not like the old days, was there 2 years ago and was even more alive then this one.
10 years ago we could not even get in, ol well I was asleep by 10:30 anyways.
Happy New Years all
