OK, here are the photos. As I stated before, I could not find a good path from the instrument panel to the cabin so I added a new bus under the steps inside the cabin. Now I can add about anything I want without compromising the bulkhead between the helm and the cabin. Besides, it was a pain to unscrew the instrument panel with the 13 screws...

Looks nice. Did you run the 8 AWG negative bus back to the battery as well?
Some people overlook that and upgrade the positive path only. No chassis on a boat so everything depends on 2-way runs. Also... ya wanna make sure you fuse a cable that size appropriately. 8AWG with make a LOT of heat if it shorted. :)

No, I cheated... Figured you'd catch that... it was late and I was totally beat. Besides, I ran out of black marine grade and I was not in the mood to drive 12 miles to the nearest WM... I know, poor excuse...

Remember... on a boat you only have HALF the capacity of BOTH lines. In your case, you didn't gain as 8AWG (until you get that other run in).
First thing I'm gonna run in mine is a HONKIN' 00 ground buss all the way to the bow. Then, any power I run is easy to compute amperage and drop on.

Looks good Doug. Can you use the Negative wire as a pull striing for the 8AWG return?
I think that's a good idea of you can.
Other than that the new bus was a goog idea. It'll make anything else much more flexible to install.

Yea, no problem getting the pull through for negative 8 awg, just need to buy more... As I stated, I was short and I'm not splicing that run.

That's what my comment was earlier. I'm gonna run a large pair of feeders up to the bow (windlass) and hit a few buss bars on the way up. Then any future mods can tap on there. I want to be large enough up through the electronics bay to support an inverter and then reduce from there to windlass size.

What do you guys have as batteries set up.
I have my charger coming to replace the bad one.
Eventually I want to get a couple new batts for the house side, then an invertor and use the existing 2 group 27's as my starters, and separate the house and starting.
