Finally grabbed the camera to take a pic or two of these two projects.
Previous owner didn't like music so they pulled the stereo. Made a nice wood cover for the holes but we need tunes.
The other project that took a little bit longer was the remote start and guage panel for the Generator. The boat originally had a westerbeke but it was replaced with a Kohler last year with no remote start. You had to lift a hatch in the cockpit and reach down to start it and then you have no guages to monitor it. I bought the starter/guage panel from Kohler but didn't have a good place for it. Removed the original panel with three guages and used some teak from last boat and fit all four guages and the start/preheat button. Worked like a charm and looks good IMHO.

Nice,
I'm sure you'll have a smile on your face the first time you have to start your genny on a rainy day!
Which head unit did you use for the HD receiver? Looking to replace our as well!

When we pulled into Sucia I ran the wiring harness to the generator. Admiral didn't quite grasp why but come saturday morning when SHE wanted to run the heat she understood. :)
The receiver is a JVC for $100 at Best Buy. You have to add the HD part which i have not. Just caught the display at the right time showing it. :)

Don't you just love those Star Wars gauges, are they on your list too? Nice work so far Sean.

They were on the list but since they all are working now they are going to wait. The admiral just emailed me asking to replace all the faucets and she ordered new cellular blinds for the inside. I think we are done on the inside for her. :)

I am quoting her! :) I know there will be other items but she has full control of the inside and she already bought everything else she wanted. She is using my dingy purchase to justify her spending. So I went a little overboard, didn't want to be saying, "if only we had the larger dingy", or "we need more HP".

Makes sense now, but I thought you had lost your mind.
Like I mentioned on BOC, looks great. Did you do anything with the speakers?
Do you have an amp?

I haven't done anything with the speakers. They are behind the stock covers. Will most likely change them out but for now they work. The flybridge ones are not hooked up yet and they might get a small amp as it is quite a long run for the wires.
