well since this old dog has to be in uniform most days, I do run into many people who thank me for my service. I get stopped routinely gasing up the car at costco... I gave up a while ago saying I was retired and teaching at high school. They didn't understand so now I thank them for their well wishes and shake their hand telling them many in uniform appreciate the good will and appreciate being noticed.
