Well since I got the boat back, I can post a couple of photos of the new spring cleats installed. No more tripping hazard or busted toe nails for the Admiral... ;)

They fold up with a spring release mechanism that I liberally greased before installing... You can slap them down/lock with your foot. Hence I have them facing outward so the fold will be going inboard... to the locked position. I used a 6" footprint... All are 316 stainless. All have inset 5/8 bolt through with self locking castle nuts, fender washers and liberal amounts of 5200. Old holes were filled with fiberglass resin and topped with gel coat.
