we had a great time..left outa dagmars and met up with tony amoranto and his family....we had introduced them to blakely island marina and they wanted to go again...so we all went to blakely and had a great time...his wife made wonderful lumpia and we all had a great time...we went to friday harbor for lunch and then went looking for orca....we didn't find any but we all had a great time circling san juan island.....
the weather held on the trip back and for the most part the water was fairly decent....but you can tell when boating season starts...all those boaters that didn't drive anything larger than thier mercede's were all over the place.............rude, crude and sociably unacceptable.....
but other than that....we all had a great time and hope you all had a great weekend also......
so...what was your adventure???? :argh arrr

Glad to hear you had a good time over the holiday weekend.
The way it sounds, it was like a zoo on the waterways out your
way.

Across the U.S., the new reported alot of boating accidents this
past weekend. Was there any incidents out your way that you
know of in your area ?

Hopefully we will have our new boat in the water the end of this
week or the first part of next week .. :D

We had a great weekend in Port Townsend (Point Hudson). The Everett Power and Sail Squadron had a joint Rendevous with the Everett Navy Yacht Club. It was a lot of fun.

We came back early yesterday, so we avoided all the crazies like Seapuppy

We had not planned to go out this weekend but the weather was just too nice to pass up. We decided to go the big city of Quilcene, not much there but it was a nice quiet trip. We left Saturday morning from Brownsville Marina and headed north through Agate Passage and Puget Sound, then over to Hood Canal. The weather was sunny and warm and the chop wasn't too bad, a little rough in the rip just north of Point No Point but not too bad. Took about 3.5 hours to make the trip and we got the last slip in Quilcene Boat Haven (they don't have many guest slips anyway). Returned on Sunday, over cast and not near as warm as Saturday but the water was basically flat in Hood Canal. Al in all a very pleasant and quiet weekend. We really did not see much traffic, especially Sunday. Guess most folks were waiting to return home on Monday.

We headed over to Lopez Island On Saturday morning at the crack of the morning, water was great, nice warm day, there where about 6 of us, they had the pool opened so all the kids and adults went swimming, had a live band for Saturday and Sunday night. There was a guy who got knocked off his sail boat up by Stewart island and the wife had no idea how to operate the boat all she was able to do was put the sail boat in reverse and was trying to back up to him, all the guy had on was Blue underwear from the description over the VHF, he finally was picked up and taken into Bedwell. and another boat escorted his wife into Bedwell, they said he needed no medical attention :D was wondering if anyone that was up in the Islands herd about this or knew exactly what happened?

We spent Fri, Sat and Sun on Lake Roosevelt. Came home Sun afternoon because one of our mutts got very sick and the weather was too damn hot. We stayed at a marina with covered moorage, but even in the shade it was in the 90's. The water was very smooth and we only saw several brain-dead idiots that didn't know the rules of the road or show any form of boating courtesy. There were many shoreline boat campers and I'm sure a large number ended up with some significant sunburns.

Ho hum, just another cruise with the club. This time to Port Orchard Yacht Club where I docked 35 boats in about 25 slips Friday (can be tricky). Had Hors de overies Friday nite and all the beer and wine you can swallow. Hot egg breakfast Saturday morning and off to shopping at the market. That nite BBQ'd Salmon and more beer and wine. Sunday morning another hot breakfast and more having fun all day until dinner which was BBQ' chicken with more beer and wine. Then that nite dancing to a live DJ at the club. Monday yet another hot breakfast and a smooth water 30mph cruise back to Edmonds just in time to get to work to sell another boat. Cost of moorage.....zero, cost of all the meals and all the beer and wine and the DJ'ed dance.....$20.00 each whick I do believe is less than most of you paid for just moorage. Gotta love it oh ya! I have no water voyage to report as our boat is sitting in the yard having outdrive fixed again. We did spend some quality time bonding with the newest member of the family, Lucas, who decided to join us on the 27th. :)

Julie and I spent Memorial Day weekend boatless in Palm Springs. However, we're making up for it this weekend by being in Bell Harbor, Seattle. Great weekend, decent weather.

Helped a young man in civvies in a Navy RIB fix his outboard yesterday. Then loaned him a jacket to get back to his base. Later that evening he comes back to Bell in another RIB with 5 of his buddies. They all troop over to my boat. Gives me back my jacket, a six pack and a good cigar in appreciation for helping him. Turns out they're Navy SEALS on tdy from Hawaii. They were going out for a night on the town. They're giving ME a six pack? I told them I should be buying EACH of them a six pack for their service to our country. What a group of classy, fine young men. Made my day.

Dinner on board tonight with my old college roomies and their wives then back to Tacoma tomorrow.
