SOLD -- thanks for looking.

I need to get all the details this coming weekend or some evening, but Jeff and I have decided to sell the Oh Wells. We've decided to build a trailerable trawler. We've been tossing around the possibility for the last few months and stumbled upon the perfect boat plan last night, cementing it.

She has the 7.4L Mercruiser, Bravo II. I'm estimating the hours to be mid 600s but Jeff will check tomorrow on his way to work.

1996 Bayliner 2858 command bridge. 30'6" LOA, 9'10" Beam, Depth sounder, VHF radio, dual burner stove, refrigerator, shower, dual helm stations, hot water heater, heater, shore power, swim platform, privacy canvas, and more. Sleeps 6.

The boat is kept in covered moorage. Last haul out was September '07 and all zincs were replaced.

We're asking $35,000 and have title in hand.

Best contact is either home phone (360)447-0254 or e-mail motowells@yahoo.com

Sorry to hear you are selling it. It's a nice boat. The trawler sounds like fun. Good luck with the sale.

Our jet boat is just about running again, just have to drop the new block in it, really, so we aren't entirely out of the boating scene until the new boat is built. We're estimating it will take us about 2 years so we'll be sticking to the lakes until then.

The Oh Wells is a great boat. We'll miss her for sure but we are looking forward to putting together the next boat, too. We're kind of those weird custom one-off folks, I guess. Maybe we should finish our Pygmy triple kayak first, though.

Shannon, Ralph and Jan Givens from Everett will be calling you soon about your boat. It is exactly what they are looking for. Good luck!

Trailerable trawler. Hmmm. Sounds like a neat boat. How long? Wood? Oh Wells is a nice looking boat.

We're looking at between 28 and 30' feet. You can go either wood or aluminum.

So how did it go with Ralph?

Cool. Are you going to document construction like the Molly B guy? One of our MYC members built his own trailerable boat. It is nice. Think he wishes it was a bit larger now that their son is hitting the teens.

It went well. Jeff talked to him so I wasn't privy to the conversation, but he said that Ralph was an extremely nice and knowledgeable guy. I think he knows more about the 2858 than we do.

Hmmm, we may have to take that into consideration as we have two little ones who are just that, little but growing daily.

I already blog frequently about our oldest daughter and her cerebral palsy, so I'm sure that we would document the build in that format. We always lament that there aren't very good tutorials or documentation of engine builds (especially with the engine we are building to put in our jet boat) and I haven't been able to find much about the building of the trailerable boats, so I think it would be neat.

We found out this week that we are unexpectedly expecting a third baby, so this boat is still REALLY for sell.

We also now have a 2005 Saltwater King Triple Axle Galvanized Trailer available also for an additional $4,500.
