Got home and found my newly issued Washington State Boater Education Card waiting for me... I know, did not need to do it since I'm an old fart but thought it was a good thing to do... finance the state of WA anyway... So now I can loose my license if I get caught doing something totally stupid... on the boat...

However Doug, it is not a "license" it is merely a proof of education minimums.

I know that Ted... if I get caught doing something stupid, I can loose my license as in drivers license... as in car drivers license...

you're too much Ted... ;)

....actually that is not true either, once I got caught going too fast with too big of a wake by Mercer Island, whille arguing with the water cop, he told me that the ticket would not effect my drivers license record, but that it merely a fine.

Here's an interesting link to a booklet that lays out the boating laws by state.
