I'm looking for some thin black Starboard to use as a trim plate to install the new VHF. I wonder if Fisheries supply or Harbor Marine has any?
Does anyone else have experience? I'm looking between South Seattle and Marysville.

I'm looking for the same for my next project... I saw the stuff at WM, but it was very very expensive. I'd rather find a less expensive route... if possible.

Try these guys if you are around the tacoma area, they also have a scrap bin that I have found material to use, they still charge for it but at a discount. They make some really neat Plastic stuff, even artsy fartsy stuff.

Tap plastics also carries a large selection, I bought some starboard from the Bellevue location a few months ago.

Laird Plastics has the best prices by quite a margin on all things plastic I've bought. I like TAP for shopping, but Laird kills them in pricing.
They sell remnants and drops as well.

What's Starboard?
A type of plastic/vinyl kind of material great for use in all water conditions... you can work it like you would a hunk of wood

We use Laird for work all the time for Polycarbonate that we use. I didn't even think about them. Thanks for the thought. I'm on my way there now.
Doug, I'll see what they have.

I'm looking for a piece that is approximately 3" wide by about 2-3 ft long...

Stop in to Laird. They'll likely have drops that size.

Doug,
As I said on the phone. Done, 2 pieces of Black ABS, 23"+ x 13"+ rems. at Laird
$10.00ea. 1 for you, 1 for me.
There's a piece of white starboard down there for $24 that's about 20" x 40" or so if anyone else in on the prowl for it.

What's Starboard?
Starboard is a UV stabilized high density plastic similar to sanalite cutting boards.
It's definitely not cheap stuff when it comes to price.
