Force outboard?

Hey, I'm looking at an older Bay with a Force outboard. If I remember right it's hard to get parts for or am I lost again?

I've never tried, but I've always heard the same things. Maybe a rumor started by these guys who own the last ones... :D

I am not too sure about parts but I have heard alot of bad things about the 86-94 force motors. Specifically tranny, gear related issues. I would certainly have it checked by a mechanic first. Also, if I remember correctly it was the 60-160 hp motors.

Well I E-Mailed him last night and still no reply. He must not have liked my questions.

We say "may the Farce be with you"! There are only two types of Force outboards......those that were crap to start with, they are now sea anchors.......or those that run great and continue to run great! No middle ground here at all.....good luck, and yes parts are very hard to come by.
