No, it's not what you horny suckers are thinking. I got lucky because I avoided a serious problem.
Friday evening I was cruising with some friends in Elliott Bay when I noticed the boat shudder and start vibrating. A normal person would shut 'er down. I gave her some more juice and hoped it would go away. Well, I thought it went away but it was still there when I got back to Tacoma Sunday.
Had a diver go down today and he cut a mass of thick line from my shaft. Dropped the heap on the dock. While down there he replaced my shaft zincs. Anyway, I took 'er out and ran her hard. No vibration, no leaks. Thank goodness. I think I got lucky. And don't let anyone tell ya Meridian/Bayliner doesn't build a good boat. That mess could have/should have caused some major problems but it didn't.
If y'all have a substantial vibration don't just keep running her like I did. Stop/dock the boat and get her checked out right away.
Btw, that's why I sign on as 'dumbluck'.
