Puppy Chow,
Maybe to delete more of my posts ?
That could be.
I have had almost 25 posts in these forums deleted
in the past 2 weeks.
Then you might see a trend developing here.
I having a difficult time with getting e-mail from Roel in the Netherlands ... ATT is not accepting .nl e-mails ?
I find it difficult to believe, that the largest telecommunication company the world has ever known (Ma Bell) has blocked all communication with the Netherlands.
He asked me a question in a forum here, and I replied with a "Ping Roel" post. Withing 45 minutes, the post was deleted ?
I can't be on here all day. This isn't your personal "dutch drop box". Particularily in light of the fact that Roel speaks perfect English and yet you INSIST on using Dutch in every post. It's rude and not something everyone else should have to deal with. If you have something to say to Roel that you'd rather the rest of us not see... please take it offline. Otherwise, we try to speak in a manner that all can read here.
What did I do wrong ? ..
Not so much what you "did wrong", but more and more... it seems as though you just post things for the sake of responding to people or to see your little GIF pictures dancing on the screen. Most has NOTHING to do with boating... NOTHING to do with the conversation you're in and NOTHING I see as valued in the thread. It goes in the can when that happens.
We talk about stuff in here Al... we don't just babble out superflous crap just because we can. I was as supportive as the next guy in you coming here, and adding to your experience, but frankly I've grown to regret that.
Substantive posts Al. If you're adding to the conversation at hand, by all means feel free... but not everything is about 8th grade humor and cartoons.

There has been e-mail problems with addys from the
Netherlands with .nl providers.
I have good friends there, and there are problems off and
on with e-mail coming thru .nl, just as he has had incoming
problems from .att
Roel asked me a question here in a forum .. I only replied.
Roel is a Dutch foreign national, and since I speak a little
Dutch, I converse with him a little in Dutch. Yes he does
speak English, the best he can, because he learned to do so.
I have learned Dutch because I am there 2-3 times a year.
I am sorry that you feel it is "rude" that I for one, speak to him
in his native language.
So even though it was a "Ping Roel" post, I was wrong in sending
him greetings, and wished him well in his native language ?
It was a post for Roel ....
I do not post 8th grade humor or cartoons !!
I thought that this Dock Talk is for jokes, as is posted by alot of
others here ? Sorry if I offended anyone ....
Substantive posts Al.
If you're adding to the conversation at hand, by all means feel free
I don't understand, sorry ..
I only reply to a joke with a funny saying .. is that wrong ?
I see that alot do that, including yourself. It seems that only "my"
posts are deleted when I reply to a joke ?
What do you have against me ? I have asked serious questions in
other forums here, and I have gotten alot of useful information and
advice, and I have posted funny stuff in Dock Talk where it belongs.
I bought an airline ticket to come out there and meet some of the
members because I have an interest in IBNW and meeting some of
the members so you can know both sides of me. I am doing all I
can to be a part of this group even though I know there are some
who are judgemental without meeting me and will never like me,
and that is childish !!

Yes we have been down this path before, and yes it has been the
same few who are, and will never stop, bashing me.
I came over here, because it is alot more civilized than BOC, and I have
been given alot more advice and help here about my boat.
I have not tried to, or have I, de-graded, down-graded or bashed
anyone here at IBNW, because that is not why I came over here.

Lose your self-pity. No one here has ever "bashed" you. Ted doesn't like you, and that's obvious, but there haven't been any exchanges with you that I've seen that were other than helpful.
"Help about your boat" huh? When's the last time you talked about your boat Al? How was your first weekend trip out? Did it run OK? Any issues the dealer is going to have to tidy up? Take any pictures? Any funny stories? What was the ramp like that weekend? See any fish on the new fishfinder? Figuring out that whole VHF thing? etc...
Those are boating related questions Al... You've had many wondering on here if you even existed (me included), because your comments are generally so off the wall. You wouldn't go to a Fly Fishing forum and talk about raising hamsters or knitting would you? Some of your comments are completely unexpected and usually completely in disregard for the thread itself.
Do you understand when I say "thread"? Message boards like this have "threads" of conversation... they loosely bind a series of short messages into a meaningful conversation. It's amazing how it works, but it only takes small distractions to deviate or disrupt these threads. Your postings often seem to do that.

mikey..mikey.....I have to say that this board isn't consistant in the way people post...my "WHY" thread just got hijacked and it went another way....ted's dislike of alot of people is evident and it shows....but really...I think Al's posts are no different than mine or anyone elses that have hijacked threads here.....
just about every one of the threads I've posted except a few has been hijacked and sent in another direction from the subject line.......
yeah Al is brash and he posts like a mad fiend..but he's not posting anymore or less than anyone else.....I don't see what's going on in the background.....lets be fair.......
it's your site...I'm not trying to start an arguement here...but I don't see why he gets bashed and then you let ted put snide remarks on here.....just an observation......
like I said ...I don't see the behind the scenes goings on...but it doesn't seem that bad to me.....Al...post more stuff on your boat.....lighten up on the comments....step back and take a breath....I understand that your looking for friends......but you have to earn respect with people...and it seems you haven't given enough time to earn that respect here........
ted....lighten up..your not the prince you think you are........everyone else........have a beer or coke or something....life is way to short to get all worked over a website.......
I had a friend of mine many yrs ago that had me all twisted and ****ed off.....he told me "it wasn't worth the fight if you loose your temper or get to the point that you loose the arguement by showing temper.....besides....if you wanna fight...climb up my ***** and fight for air!!! ".....it kinda stuck and I try to remember that sage advice.....it doesn't always work....but sometimes it creaps into my 2 little braincells..... :argh arrr
Well Steve... I split your thread back to your original question.
I try to let Al and Ted work their stuff out... but you're right, Ted is bad about thumbing his nose. But that's Ted.
The one difference is... with Ted I DO see boating related posts... I DO see sound advice and we DO get a genuine opinion. Even when I disagree... I can read it and see where Ted stands on it.
With most of Als posts, it's like... "Hey guys... ya wanna see me make a fart noise?" or "Hey... look at this animated GIF I found" ... when some guy asks about a problem with a boat.
I've grown weary of it, as many others have. That's about as blunt as I can be. This isn't the 8th grade... I wouldn't stand there and listen to drivel then and I'm not about to now.

Mike...Agreed.........thanks for trying to keep it in the right direction.......like I said...it's your site and I don't see what's going on in the background.....so....do what you think is right........I'll stand down now...... :argh arrr

Ted ...your off base...I'm not ****ed off at all.....as usual you missed the mark by a long shot.....I do more boating than most...as far as Al Teasing about coming out...he changed his plans at my behest.....I am in another 2 week training for boeing and on second shift......so I wouldn't be able to host him out here like I'd planned.....he was gracious enough to change his vacation plans...........end of story.......... :argh arrr

Hey Ted...your last post is an example of a useless post. I love ya man and don't mean to be critical but why inflame an already flammable thread. (can you do that...? I mean can something flammable be inflamed...? Damn, another imponderable thought, just what I need...)

Al you teased the puppy with a visit, but you didn't come
(doubt you ever really planned to)
Here is the ticket I purchased info:

I paid almost $350.00 for the ticket, but postponed the
trip at Steve's request, because he was told he had to
attend night school during this time period. I know that
family and job come first, so I saw no problem indoing so.
Hopefully I will come out there in the fall to see the PNW.

to cost me an additional $100.00 fee to re-book the flight
for a later date.
