View Full Version : Lone Sailor installed!!!

Some of you know I was the youth coordinator for the installation of the Lone Sailor on the Bremerton breakwater... Well, we raised sufficient funds to install it and now we are only $15K away from our goal of ordering plaques, placing a time capsule and installing the plaques... Anyway, its been a wild 2 years and glad we are looking forward to a ribbon cutting this coming spring... So I just thought I'd show a couple of photos of the Lone Sailor. Still has to have tiles placed around the base... but he is now looking down Sinclair Inlet welcoming ships home from deployments and harms way...

Very cool Doug!

That's a very beautiful statue. Reminds me of those mornings getting underway for a cruise. You always take in one last moment at at home before heading up.

Awesome statue. That is at the new marina in Bremerton? I will be over there next April and will make sure to stop by and see it.

Very nice Doug, an impressive and honorable statue... This calls for a IBNWYC cruise for the ceremonies doesn't it?

Sounds like a great idea.. When we decide the date, I'll post it... It will probably be a weekend anyway... :argh2
