My buddy Ed got us reservations at Gig this weekend. It'll be the first trip for the old Chris further than the guest dock at Swantown. Boy am I ready to get away. Hope the weather holds...or the top doesn't leak  Gene

Congrats and have fun! My new top stopped leaking after a couple good rains so I'm sure you will be fine.

I'm sure everone else knows, but what kind old Chris do you have?
Our very first boat was a 36' Chris 1959 bow nose. That was our introduction into big boating... What an experience. Someday, I will have to write whar happened on our first cruise 20 years ago. OMG, Jerry and I looked like we were 2 of the 3 Stooges.

Diane, we bought a 1967 Chris 27 Commander. The 27 was the first 'glas Chris and they came out in 1966. This boat belonged to close friends, kind of of our second parents. It was always shed or house kept and we pretty much know the history from nearly new. I have worked on the old gal for the last 9 or 10 years. New wiring, new engine, rebuilt gears, new fuel tanks, new head, holding tank, carpet and so on. The original gel coat shines as new. We (my wife) had an understanding with our friends if the boat came up for sale she was going to own it. They decided age and health were getting to be an issue so.....I now have 2 boats again. Gene

Congrats Gene!

The ol girl (the Chris Craft) that is, is a prize to behold! You and that ""young"" beauty queen (Missy) have a wonderful time! My wife and I are coming to Swantown today to say hi to our boat, unfortunately we won't have time to take her out as we have to be at a wedding in Bellingham on Monday. Can't wait to move some water with that expensive dock ornament.
