Election Day is here, FINALLY! It's November 4, 2008, the day all those annoying recorded phone messages, the political junk mail and deceitful television advertisement's come to a stop. Although I am grateful for hearing, see to read and to have a home to live in, it's finally the day all that ends, hooray!! Congratulations to all the political winners whoever and wherever you are - please take care of this country, we’re counting on you!

**************

Now on to another very poignant thank you... It’s not about politics, it’s about service, and sacrifice, and it’s about gratitude…

Have you ever seen one of our military personnel walking past you and wanted to convey to them your thanks, but weren't sure how or it felt awkward?

Recently, a gentleman from Seattle created a gesture, which could be used and has started a massive movement to get the word out.

Everybody please take just a moment to watch this, it's pretty neat.....(30-second video)....... and then forward it to your friends!

I've seen that before... but honestly it's a lot easier than that. These kids are someone's son, daughter, father, daughter, husband or wife.

Walk up, stick out your hand and say "Thank you"

It's that easy. I do it all the time.

The younger the kid is the bigger the grin you'll get too. :)

I was in the Chicago airport and had a young kid heading back from the war behind me in a food line. When I got to the front of the line, I had him order and then I paid for his meal. He was shocked and thanked me. I told him if he could put his life on the line for me, it was the least I could do for him.

It means so much to them too. These kids are all volunteers and a simple "thank you" goes a long way.
