I stopped by Fisheries Supply today. Wow, what a store! Lot of great stuff there. They carry Barr manifolds and risers and they quoted me $1000 + tax for the whole setup - it is more then I want to pay now so I'll keep shopping around. I'll call Harbor Marine tomorrow and if their price is also high I'll order those parts online.
Cleaned oil from the bilge today - what a pain  Now it is all clean and nice and hope I'll be able to figure out why oil sprayed around before it happens again.

Edit: i plan it to be reply in the old topic - hit a wrong button. Oh, well....

I bought a set of Barr manifolds from Fisheries Supply last year for the 7.4 and I am very pleased with the quality of the product. the best part about them is the soft plugs are on the outside and not up against the heads.

They must have been busy, I called them on Saturday and they said they would call me back and never did.
I am not sure about the mark up on the risers but everything else is unbelievably marked up, yet still most times much better priced then West Marine.
My wife is in a business that supplies many business with product, including Foss. So she was able to open up an account with them.
If any of you can do this I highly recommend this. You would not believe the savings- I can save up to 50% on many items I buy. It really depends on the product, most consumable items are at least half off. Only thing is I live in Tacoma and despise the drive in traffic to Seattle to make the purchase ,but if I can save enough it is off to Fisheries. It really makes it hard to go into a WM and pay there prices when I know I can be doing better. I wish they had a Tacoma outlet. I have thought of having them ship to Tacoma but have not went there yet.
The other thing I like about Fisheries are the sales staff has pretty good knowledge of many products or can help with some trouble shooting also.
Tim Dies who works there has been very helpful for me.

If you are a new boat owner let them know and you will get the 'wholesale' price for 3 months!

So I went to Fisheries Supply and got this discound card. Then talked to Tim about exact model of risers/manfolds I need. Yes, Fisheries Supply does have all those parts and no, they do not give any discount on motor parts :( So, their quote for whole setup come to about $960 + tax.
After all I ordered parts from DougRussell.com
so discount card is good but it does not apply for many things unfortunately. I bought impeller kit, different pumps, trailer parts, oils, etc for $170 total and saved about $20.

Very good Anton. Lemme know when you want to fab up that stainless bracket.

Was it pretty easy to get out of there? I never changed mine because it looked too much of a pain. :)

Yes, it was very easy to get to take in out.
In fact I already put it back because I need this pump to work. I put the drive back and pump should be assembled for support this thing.
I took all measurements and now have full size blueprints of the part. I do not really think I need it changed, I painted it over and mounted on special risers made of plastic cutting board - so it will not be exposed to water anymore and hopefully will not rust that much. I'll post pictures later.
I also drop by those drawings so you may be able to manufacture one for your friend.

Don't worry about it then Anton. If Bob decides he wants one built then. I'll just use his old one as a template. He only lives a few blocks away and the bracket will be easy to brake and plasma cut the holes properly.

It's easier to have an actual model in hand than work from prints on something like this. If something gets reversed or misaligned, it'd be a real hassle to retool it if you're in Lynnwood trying to reinstall an improper bracket.

I'll just wait on his and save you the drive out.
