So I'm seeing Wickus is getting called Tally. I assume it's the same Tally that used to be on here and BOC. Why the name change?

Tally is like the L. Ron Hubbard equivalent on iBoatNW. :)
He was the founder (flounder) and owner of the domain when iBoatNW first came to be.
I dunno what "Wickus" means though. Maybe he'll share it with us?

... I wouldn't take it quite that far
Tally and his crew had the forethought to realize that there was something special about the place we boat in, and I'm glad they took the time to spin away from BOC.
We've grown a bit, and will continue to. I hope our ties to BOC don't fade, but only serve to make this site more closely knit. It's a lot of fun actually knowing the people you interact with online, sharing the good and the bad. I've also made a lot of good friends here. Tally was one of the first. He drove down from Bellingham, met us at Kingston and shared a cup of coffee with us, along with Ted, Scott, Puget Mike and Roy.

Good to know. I started http://nwsearayowners.com/ a few years ago but haven't done anything with it. I wanted to do a similar thing to this site as a local derivitive to, at that time, searayowners.com. It seemed that once I met Doug who invited me here, that it's a better fit, because it's about the people, rather than brand of boat. I like this place for that reason. WE JUST WANT TO GO BOATING.

I remember meeting you. I think it was at Friday Harbor. :) We had just done our first iBoatNW cruise up there and Doug was passing out iBoatNW.com stickers (and sticking them on anything that would sit still).

It could be worse... I'm the one who met Sea***** in 1999/2000 and invited him over to BOC.
Ya win some... ya lose some...

Speaking of Elmer and his rifle... You should check out my new to me rifle. My dad gave it to me over Christmas... A 1960 Marlin 336 RC 35 cal. Nice shooting rifle. Dad's best score was 17 out of 20 bulls eyes at 200 yds (and a couple of bucks). It has a 3x9x40 scope.

My Grandpa had one of those. They're called "Texans". His was a 30-30 and was the first "real" rifle I ever shot. I killed my second and last deer with that rifle.
Sweet piece of history you've got there Doug.

Doug--That is a beautiful rifle. It certainly will do the job on any yotes that may venture into your back yard.
I can imagine a half dozen Kitsap County deputies converging with lights and sirens at Doug's house after he wasted a coyote in his back yard. "Yes, deputies, I took care of that dirty ol' coyote. Poped him in his tracks from the upstairs bedroom window with this here .35 cal lever action Marlin. Purdy dang good shot, don't ya think?"

I love those old Marlin lever actions! I have a newer 1895G "Guide Gun" in 45-70 Government.
It's a great shooter, a pleasure to pack, and hurls a serious hunk of lead!

Was I drunk when I created this thread....I don't recall the title.
Must be one of Mike's "housekeeping" moves again. With the guns and wabbits, and logger flanneled shirt wearing bald guys on this thread, it looks like he can frame us all for Kennedy's trip through Dallas

Trying to keep you guys SOMEWHAT on topic. :)
Especially in the cruise threads. There's a lot of info that I don't want people to miss.
