This past few days I have been scouring CL and ebay for inflatables. The ones locally on CL are either too much for what they are or bigger than what I am looking for (8-9 ft). On ebay I see the Baltik and Aquamax. The differences seem to be that the Aquamax is made with thicker material but only has 2 air chambers but a little more room up front where as the Baltik has 3 chambers. I have gotten the Baltik guy down to $614 for the 8.5ft which is comparable to the Aquamax price but before I pull the trigger I need to know I am making the right decision. With Boaters World going out of business I am tempted to wait for a couple of mark downs on their Zodiacs and Avons. I know a couple of you all have the Baltiks so I would like to know satisfaction levels for quality after having them a couple of seasons.

There's a new place in Everett that has some great prices on inflatables. I'll drive by and let you know the name and number.

I am not 100% but I think that Costco had that Baltik last year for the same price point. $650 or something. Is the ebay one brand new? I saw this one on CL today with a motor.

I know it is bigger than what you want but. Ours is a Tropik 305 which is also 10' 5" and it works well. Your boat is bigger than ours and could hold it. The 15 hp motor would be nice also...heavy but nice.

Doesn't SS still have one for sale?

Thanks Todd, I would appreciate it. Hook, I saw that one earlier as well. The one on line is brand new. I have thought about the size in depth and unless I get a screamin deal on a larger one, I really want to stick to 8-9 ft max.

I bought one just like this on E-bay. Havn't used it yet but will soon. I don't think he has any more left...might be worth a try. I thought it was a good deal for a RIB. No shipping, picked it up in Blaine.

That would have been perfect. I shot an email off to the seller to see if he has anymore.

Thanks Ron.

I hope he does....I think it will work good for us. He had 3 when I bought mine. I was looking at similar dinghys at the boat show for $2,500.(not real serious for that price).Do a search on boat trader for inflatables. I found some reasonable deals there as well. GOOD LUCK !!!

Take a look at seattle.craigslist.org/see/boa/1091749296.html . I bought one of the other boats from them and it was like new! They are actually made by Silver Marine and I picked it up from the warehouse in Gig Harbor silvermarine.com/picture/2006/1213/picture_24.html . I got mine for $450, but I had the grab rope instead of the handles. I think they can't sell the Nordik name boats any more since they are officially Silver Marine.

The boat is very sturdy, HEAVY, 3 main air chambers, inflatable keel and air deck. They even threw in some little extras.

Good luck!

I actually almost bought the Silver Marine from another fella who had them advertised on CL but would up going with a 7 year old Quicksilver/Mercury 9'9" air floor for $400. It is in great condition but he took the yokes from the weaver pads so now I gotta find those somewhere along with another stand-off. I am going to try and find some used ones if at all possible.

Harbor Marine in Everett has the yokes. I took mine off when I sold mine as well. They're not cheap. Weaver parts in general are spendy.

$62.99 a pair to be exact!

http://www.shipstore.com/SS/HTML/WVR/WVRRSH120.html

I just bought them.

I'm going to wait to install everything until I can dry out the swim platform. Its a bit wet inside from the removal of the old Weaver davits. I figure its pretty much ruined but Its nice and solid still. I can probably get a few years out of it if I seal it up once it dries out.

I've got some 42" standoffs that I've just been planning on cutting down to fit my situation. If you happen to need longer ones and you find some shorter ones, I'd trade just to make it easier. They are pretty expensive if you buy them new.

I know a guy through the one of the dive shop that won one, boat trailer motor. Used the heck out of it, and has had nothing but problems with it, They eventually wound up replacing it and he is having the same problems, not sure what hes going to do, after all it was free...
Thats all I know, just thought I'd pass it along.

Did you already buy the yokes? I found some new ones on craigslist from Wisconsin for $29.99 + tax. They also had some good prices on standoff's as well but I think I might need a 12" one. I have to take the pads off of my dinghy to match what I have on my swim step just trying to figure out where to put them on the tube. My pads are right above the rub strake of the dinghy now. Can I put them right below the strake? Take a look under the Chicago CL and just type in "Weaver" when doing a search under the boat section. They have a a lot of standoff's really cheap.
