We just spent the last 2 days playing with the boat for the first time this year. We headed North from the Natrrows Marina and East around Vashon and up the Sound to Bake Island then back.

What a beautiful day we had today. Friday was fun too but just did a jaunt to Gig Harbor for lunch then back.

Congrats on a successful start for your second year of boating!

You're making it look easy... and having fun to boot!

Thanks,

Both days wre such a learning experience for us. We learned how to use the slings to put the boat in the water. After a real good lesson from Tony we were off and running...good teacher.

Is was quite scary for both of us to see our boat hanging in the air by just a couple slings and moving through the air then way down to the water...talk about worried!!! lol

We took some beautiful pics along the way and made a list of things I need to get do on the boat as well. Had some issues with the motor (I JUST had the motor gone through) and issues with the new VHF and Garmin Fishfinder. They were small issues...we sure hope.

We stopped and sat accross from Seattle and had lunch then I cleaned the boat then headed home.

Sounds great! We headed out to Blake yesterday for our first cruise, too. We launched at Manchester for the first time, cruised around, grabbed a buoy, ate lunch, did some more cruising, and then headed back to the dock. We got there about 2 hours before low tide and we almost had to wait. We need to figure out our pull-out window a bit better but we had a blast! It was a lot easier to unload and load it onto the trailer than I thought and much nicer keeping it at home than at the marina.

Blake Island was a nice suprise for us. We only went there as a 'Point" to go then turn around to try out the boat. We didn't even know the Marina was there...what a nice place!! Next time, we plan to head out a lot earlier so we can spend some time enjoying the island and the park there.

For my boat at the Manchester ramp, as long as water is over the large cut in the concrete ramp sides I can pull it out. About 2 hours to normal low tide. I can launch it in almost any depth...

Good to know, thanks!! Manchester is so close to our house and an easy trip for us (no major hills like Sedgewick). And what normally would have been 20-30 minutes from the marina, is a mere minute or two from Manchester. So nice!
