New boat

Well, we bit the bullet yesterday and put money down on a 2452. Comes with everything, shrimp pots and bait, halibut poles with electric reels. Brand new 5.7 engine and alpha 1 outdrive. Everything immaculate inside and out. Located in Anchorage. We were starting to think we would have to buy one in lower 48 and trailer it up. Obviously this boat was meant to be for us. Now we have a 1989, 2159 Trophy for sale. If anyone has a friend in AK that needs one, send them our way.

Congratulations. You'll have a bunch of fun this summer. When do you take delivery? Have you done a sea trail?

We didn't get a screaming deal, but we got a good deal. It is a 1992, however has a brand new 5.7, 275 horse vortec engine with a brand new alpha 1 outdrive still under warranty. The boat has a total of 400 hours on it. Brand new kerosene cook stove that also heats the cabin (exhausts to the outside). It is immaculate. The seller is throwing in shrimp pots, shrimp pot puller, downriggers, halibut rods with electric reels. So many extras, I am very, very happy. Custom built swim platform, custom rack mounted on the hard top for inflatable . Hope to take it out on Thursday. As for a charter later this summer. We are already booked for the middle of August when my father-in-law comes from Yakima to visit. But, bring some money for gas and we'll go. I know Doug (DmcB) had talked about coming up in the fall, but wasn't sure if that was still the plan.
