Just when you think you are making progress in getting things finished on the boat, the Admiral goes and buys me a new BBQ that I have to mount! :D

Any suggestions as to best mount for the Magna Newport?

Nice grill.

I had mine on a rail mount, but I think a fixed mount would be nicer and more stable. They make nice mounts for rod holders as well.

I am in the process of replacing the rails and mounts. Friend has become distributor of Morse Industries and they have what appears to be a match to the original mounts in stainless.

I will look into the rod holder mounts.

Nice Father's Day Gift!
The only I got was a marine starting battery and all the pain involved with replacing it!
Guess thats what I get for not being a father :)

Ken...the BBQ was birthday (the 17th). Still waiting for fathers day gift to arrive via her dad. Supposed to be a new crab pot setup. :)

Thanks Ken!

Did you get to install that battery this weekend? We did a trial night on the boat saturday to see if Admiral could cope with having a 3 week old. They did great so the pressure is on to find a 4th of July destination and to get all my projects finished!

Was just down at Fisheries looking at the mounts. Bought one to use existing rod holder but Admiral doesn't like the idea of having to remove it while underway. Will go back and get the "flush mount" and bolt it to the rear wooden rail. This should hold when underway.

Yep it was in the small boat, We brought it over 2 weeks ago to get it ready for the season, but will all the rain last couple of weeks we finally got it ready on Sun.
Washing, waxing, changed fluids and filters, battery changed, greases and it was only 80 in the driveway!
I thought boating was all fun. :?
