While I am refinishing the teak and plugging holes in the rail, I decided to remount my standoffs from the rail to the transom. They were put on last year in a hurry and not meant to be on for good. I needed them to measure 38 1/2" and 42". Mine are 48". Thought about buying the adjustable ones from Weaver but they are $170! and I would be stuck trying to offload my current ones.

Emailed Weaver and Jason replied saying for $40 they would cut, reweld and bright polish the standoffs for me. Went on to say if they arrived in the morning that most likely they would go out the same afternoon. Guess what? They did! Sent them fedex ground wednesday night, he called yesterday to get card info and said they were going back out. They arrived this morning along with new clips for the boat and standoffs!

I like Weaver! In the past they have traded out my standard swimstep clips for extended and only charged the difference.

They know how to keep customers happy.

Erik...I have two 30" and a 24" if you need them. If they work you could have them for say...$40? :)

Weaver, Bennet, and EZ Loader have figured out a long time ago how to stay in business. Glad to hear it!

Are you going to be around tomorrow afternoon? I think they would be perfect for me but I need to measure it. If they work I would want one of them. I am glad they took such good care of you. While I was reading your post I was thinking I would send mine in to have cut then I saw the end and even better. Did you ever get a chance to look at the ones I had?

Toos short or too ugly of a cut?

I didn't get a chance to look at yours. Drove by one night and you weren't there and had the kids with me.

I am going to be up at the boat in the am working on it. Will leave the 30" and 24" on your boat. Use what you want and we can figure it out. :)

With Weaver doing the work I don't lose their lifetime warranty which is nice. Had a local guy willing to do that but decided the warranty and getting it polished was a better deal in the long run.

I agree with the deal from Weaver. Thanks a bunch! I will be down in the afternoon. The kiddo and I are going to stay on the river dock and go fishing Sunday morning. IF anyone is around stop by and say hi.

I'll be by this morning. Wanna see if I can get my DCS setup to work with this chartplotter.

Erik...I left them in a box in your cockpit. Use whichever ones you can.
