Hi everyone.
I am at Rosario and I have no cell phone coverage. But really slow internet.
Would some call and get prices for diesel at:
Deer Harbor
Friday Harbor
Roche Harbor
Any other places?
Thanks
Scott

Talk to the folks at Rosario, they should have that info for you, or be able to look it up.

Thanks Ted,
That was helpful. He said his fuel is good here. $3.10 plus tax. So he is not a lot of help.

Scott, Blakely(right around the corner) has Diesel $2.79/gal + tax + $.04/gallon off over 100 gallons

I agree! When comparing the prices it makes it harder. I believe that Everett's price already includes tax.

I never bother... fuel is the cheapest part of boating.

Yeah but if you're Scott taking on 300 gallons, going to the right spot for a $50-60 in savings pays for a night's moorage.

It's all relative. Buying 385 liters of fine Canadian fuel at 1.08/liter doesn't make much sense to run around chasing fuel prices. At 26 gal/hr it becomes moot pretty quickly.
Besides, I'd bet Scott gets better GPH than I do (but half the speed) :D

Thanks again Ted and everyone else. The info was actually for some friends, a young couple who boat the best way (it is the fil boat and all they pay for is fuel). We just wanted to find the best place to stop along they way.
Now for me, as long as I am not trying to keep up with Doug and the group, I get real good fuel economy in the islands. On the way up, I burned around 100 gallons over 5 hours. I will top the tanks off before heading home on Sunday where ever we are. I just won't go out of the way to save $20 in the islands.
Again it is great to be able to ask for help and have it with in 15 minute here on line.
thanks everyone.

I'm running pretty consistently at 22 GPH with this heavy load out. That's at around 26-27 knots. This trip I'm keeping both actual miles and fuel and flowscan numbers side-by-side to get true numbers. It's feeling like I might be getting 1.25-1.50 MPG overall. We've put 288 trip miles on so far and I'll bag the tanks when we get home to get an accurate tally.
