well kinda, at least until the next day. I just took a white 5 gallon bucket with a lid on it and drilled around a hundred 5/8" diameter holes in it, including the lid and the bottom . I figured once I get into Roche this Saturday it will be early afternoon before I get to soak some pots . So if I decide to wait until Sunday to cook em I can put them in my " wait until tomorrow Bucket" , toss it over the boat and bring back up next day for eating.

watch your count, Brad, until they are processed they count as your catch for the day.
Technically, I don't believe you can keep them like that, but, well, er, I know it happens, huh (insert random IBNW user name here)

yeah I have done it a couple times and wondered how I might explain things if I had to.
Kinda take my chances I guess.

Well I have to admit I have used a pot with the gates tied shut to keep crab in overnight while we are on the boat. I just drop it over the side and cleat it off so it is off the bottom but still in the water.

Yeah... I've heard arguments both ways. I suppose as long as you didn't exceed the number on your catch records for any given day you'd be able to explain it away.
I've heard of people catching them a couple at a time and bringing them back to the boat alive and storing them over the side until they got a mess of them.
