Its an excellent quality Burgee, it's double thickness and has a good weight to it so it takes a pretty good breeze to get it flappin.
Here is a photo of it.

Just need the details on where to mail. PayPal would be easier!
I've just been totally swamped with work and the wife and I decided we either get the boat on the water or sell it. Since we want to keep it, its time to use it.

Most people like PayPal. I actually prefer it. All my PayPal transaction go straight onto my PayPal Mastercard... very nice and has a great paper trail.

07-05-2005, 07:40 PM
That's nice Mike, I still believe in face to face communications, old fashion honest dealings, and shaking hands on a honest deal. Yes I know I'm old, very old compared to most here, but that is the way it works for me. Anyone having a problem with my old fashioned ways please don't be honored with a quality burgee of the IBNW. Ted ;)
SomeSailor
07-06-2005, 07:09 AM
It's really got nothing to do with "honest" dealing Ted. It's just easier. I have a PayPal account of my own. I can send you money without having to ask the wife to write a check, mail it, etc.
Plus.. with a PayPal account, people can pay with their credit cards or an echeck, and I can then pay that money with my PayPal card. Very nice setup. I've transferred better than $20,000 last year on mine and had no issues at all. Electronic transfer is the way to go these days.

Electronic transfer is the way to go these days.
True, I use electronic transfer and pay all but two bills online now, actually, they are online too but I like to pay them off before they are due to avoid finance charges.
Gives me a nice record to check on instead of looking for the folder with the bill in it or having to print out the information. I once had questioned a bill and had hard information to present via online so that was nice too. Great savings on stamps and no lost mail... that use to be a bit of a pain in the rump... "honest, check was in the mail"...

I do like my Pay Pal account also, I just have a hard time remembering the the log in password and user id's. Like all of us these days we have a zillion of these we have to remember to access acounts, computers,IRA's , 401's, cash machines, on line training sites , Boat sites, etc.
I take off for a vacation and forget half of them.
 Brad

well, I solved that by putting them all in a word document with a password to protect them all. Now I have them at fingertipped length on my personal computer and all I have to do is remember the word doc password and I am there... Comes in handy when I delete cookies once a week... or more often
bradvo
07-06-2005, 07:52 AM
Doug, that is something I probably should do myself. I have mine scattered around and eventually find them. i am not that computer savy and need to take the time to begin to learn, I would like to be able to down load some pix's once in awhile and share them. I have a few Pixs of my 39 when i had it along with my wife and I . i have yet to get any loaded of the Navigator. I put some on a msn site some time back and was going to play around with it but have not yet.

I really like PayPal because I can send you an invoice, or money, in just a few clicks. You get it instantly, I get a receipt, etc.
I also get 1% back when I use my Paypal debit card, which offsest their fees considerably. Merchant treat it like a Mastercard and I can draw money from any ATM, etc.
It's a great brokerage for cash. It was doing well enough for eBay to snatch them up recently :)

I do not believe it is very good approach. Password protection of Word document can be broken quite easily if one gets hand on your file. Hiding file on your machine does not help much also - even protected files can be searched so it us just a guess but try searching for files containing "password" on your machine and it is likely that your secret file will be found. So be very careful with it or you may loose all your passwords and logins at once.
And yes, I did not want to hijack the thread ;)
